COVID 19 informationLetter To Clients from Your Veterinary Clinic Team

Jan. 4, 2021:  As we begin 2021, our number one priority during these ever-changing pandemic conditions remains to provide excellent care to our patients while keeping the health and safety of our clients, team and community a priority.

Appointments:  We are still conducting Carside Appointments and foresee this as a continued "normal" for a while longer. Please review our "What to Expect" guide and call us with any questions you may have regarding this protocol. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. As before, there may be some medically relevant exceptions ot the carside appointments, such as euthanasia, acute trauma, and perhaps some other emergent cases. We will continue to limit the amount and number of human-to-human contact until futher notice.

Surgical/Dental:  We are happy to inform you that we can now regularly offer these services again as the previous executive order has been rescinded. Please give us a call or use our online form to schedule an appointment.

Boarding: At this time our boarding facilities remain closed. Fortunately, there are several locations around our community still offering this service.

Thank you for supporting us and understanding our oblications to adapt. We sincerely appreciate your continued trust in our team for your pet's care.

Changes to After Hours Pet Emergencies Calls on Major Holidays

Grand Rapids Veterinary Clinic Doctors Heather Kreuger, Therese Schneider, Leah Gustafson and Hans KaldahlAfter hours emergency calls on major holidays will now be referred to Blue Pearl Emergency Pet Hospital in Duluth MN. These dates include Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. There may also be other days during the year when emergency calls will be referred to Blue Pearl as well. Our after-hours answering system will notify you if you need to call the Duluth animal hospital and provide you that telephone number.

As many of the veterinary clinics and hospitals in our area have started routinely referring their emergencies to the Duluth animal hospital, we have seen our non-client emergency calls grow dramatically.  In order to maintain a work-life balance, we have decided to make this transition.

If you have questions or concerns please feel freee to contact us at 218-326-0395.
